The Brno-Černovice city district is one of the most typical examples of coexistence between Czechs and Germans. The Old Černovice town, originally German, started to be ethnically complemented by New Černovice with predominantly Czech population. The aim of the organizers of the reading series is to recall this history and reflect on the history of the city district, which in the past was largely shaped by the German ethnic group in particular.
