Ghettofest Memory 2015 – street festival

The Ghettofest street festival will feature four events in the program line Ghettofest Memory, included by the organizers in the program of the Year of Reconciliation. On 5 June, there will be a mass celebrated by the evangelical pastor Štěpán Hájek to commemorate people who before their deportation, torture or expulsion during the Second World War lived in the district known as "The Brno Bronx". On 5 and 6 June, you can see a performance of the children's opera Brundibar, known for its production in the Theresienstadt ghetto, and now staged mainly with Roma children. On 6 June there will a guided walk with the historian Michal Konečný in the footsteps of Jews deported from the location around Bratislavská Street and its surroundings, and on the same day a there will be a concert of songs by Pavel Haas in the house in Bratislavská Street, where the author lived.
