Moravian Autumn 2015 – Olivier Messiaen, a concert with poetry
Messiaen's extensive piece for two pianos Visions de l'Amen (Visions of the Amen) was created during the Second World War; the 70th anniversary of its end will be commemorated by the whole world in 2015. The performance of the excellent piano duo Terezie Fialová – Karel Košárek will be complemented by recitation of a poetic composition La Salette (1947) by Jan Zahradníček (in 2015, 110 years will have passed since his birth and 55 years since his death), reflecting the post-war events based on the Marian vision of two little French children, to whom it was revealed that the world would suffer another great misfortune should it fail to obey God.
Visions de l'Amen (Visions of the Amen), poetry by Jan Zahradníček et al., recited by Saša Rašilov, Terezie Fialová - piano, Karel Košárek - piano.
